How far do we look?

This series highlights key elements of my artistic approach: the search for the horizon and the multiplicity of vision. The horizon represents the unattainable—something that continuously recedes and, by its very nature, remains elusive, much like the meaning of our existence in the world.  The attempt to depict this ever-shifting surface leads to a fragmentation of the image, multiplying the gaze. The process begins with a landscape photograph, which is repeated, transformed through darkroom printing, and partially obscured by layers of graphite or paint. The result is a potentially infinite series of ways to see the landscape, each carrying its own visual and conceptual resonance.
